The Dementia Support Worker aims to help service users (people with dementia and their care giver or family) access what they need at the right time for them and offer the support that they need to remain in their chosen environment for longer.
The role will support people with dementia, their families, and care givers and will also support primary care management, by the coordination of social support and general follow-up.

Your new role
As a dementia support worker, you’ll be expected to work a 7-day rota, where you’d effectively communicate with elderly people, whilst helping promote their wellbeing and independence thus improving the quality of their lives.
You’ll have to be patient and attentive to identify their needs, ensuring that their care is effective and appropriate concerning the support they desire.
Requirements
*A minimum of 2+ years experience in the social care sector.
*Mental health experience desired but not essential.
*Excellent communication skills.
*Ability to manage multiple tasks.
*Must be registered with the HCPC.
