Government of Azerbaijan Scholarships – The Educational Grant Program for the Citizens of the Member Countries of the Organization for Islamic Cooperation” and “The Educational Grant Program for the Citizens of the Member Countries of the Non-Aligned Movement” were approved by the orders of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on December 6, 2017, and on January 10, 2018, respectively.
The Educational Grant (hereafter “scholarship”) Program provide an opportunity for selected candidates on annual basis to study in the leading universities of Azerbaijan.
The scholarship is available at the preparatory courses, undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, general medicine/residency programs.

Scholarship Requirements:
To be eligible to apply for the scholarship, applicants must:
1. Citizens of the OIC and the NAM member countries
2. For undergraduate and general medicine programs – citizens younger than 25
3. For graduate and residency programs – citizens younger than 30
4. For doctoral programs – citizens younger than 40

Scholarship Duration and Reward
1. Tuition fees
2. International flight (once in a year, economy class)
3. Monthly allowance ( $800, includes meals, accommodation, and cost of utilities)

5. Visa and registration cost
Required Documents
To apply, candidates must be ready to submit the following documents;
1. Completed application form
2. Diplomas or Transcripts from prior High School or University studies
Copy of Passport
3. Document on general health status (including HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis B, and C tests)
4. CV or Resume
5. Motivation Letter
6. Proof of English Proficiency (for programs in foreign languages: for undergraduate programs IELTS 5, TOEFL 40, for other programs IELTS 5.5, TOEFL 50)
Note: All documents must be translated into English or Russian and notarized.

Method of Application
The selection process for the Government of Azerbaijan Scholarships will cover two stages:
- Review of the relevant documents
- Interviews (online/Skype)
- The candidates will be informed about the results by July 2022
Note: Universities will get in touch with the shortlisted applicants for institutional admission procedures
The candidates must:
- be officially nominated by respective state entities of their country (Ministries, Embassies, etc.) to the Embassies or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan
