The Government of Romania MEAT Scholarship is a fully funded program for international students to study in undergraduate, Master’s, and PhD levels in Romania.

About the Government of Romania MEAT Scholarship.
Romanian MEAT Scholarship is now open for students all over the world. The scholarship program is assigned by the Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship, and Tourism (MEAT) for undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral studies.
Degree in Romania for the academic year 2022, 40 scholarships will be allotted to 40 international students to study in Romania. Application is open to students all over the world except the EU member states.
Candidates studying in Europe for this scholarship can only study in Romania if they have been chosen for undergraduate and graduate courses.
Ph.D scholars may decide to study in Romanian or a foreign language. For non-Romanians who need to teach in Romanian, a Romanian language practice course is required one year before university.
The results will be disclosed at the beginning of the 2022-2023 academic year.
The MEAT scholarships to study in Romania are accessible for the fields of study available at the host institutions.
Preference will be given to those applying to study economics and business administration, technical studies agricultural sciences, and oil and gas.

Applicants should know that the scholarship is open to foreign citizens from all nations of the world, except EU/EFTA member states I.e. Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland.
Applicants must submit study documents issued by acknowledged or recognized educational organizations and have good results.
Candidates should have good physical and mental health and attend the registration at the university where they are and have obtained a medical certificate that verifies that they are fit for study and free of communicable diseases.
The academic qualifications are;
Master’s degree applicants must have a bachelor’s degree. Bachelor’s degree applicants must have a high school graduation certificate or testimonial. Doctorate applicants must have a master’s degree.
Candidates must be ready to study in Romania for the duration of the course.
Candidates must accept the internal laws of the educational organization in which they will study.
Candidates must also obey the Romanian Constitution and the rules of the Romanian State.

Worth of the Government of Romania MEAT Scholarship.
The following are the benefits that applicants can get from the scholarship:
Free tuition fee.
Monthly allowance of:
£65 per month— undergraduate students.
£75 per month—postgraduate students.
£85 per month—postgraduate students.
Public transport fares will be reduced to the exact price for Romanian students.
Candidates will be provided with a monthly allowance during the introductory year of the Romanian language.
Scholarship Application Procedure
To apply for the scholarship, applicants should send scanned copies of the required and send them to the school’s email.
Below are the required documents:
Letter of recommendation: it will be written by any of the following organizations; The economic representative of the Romanian Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship, and Tourism or the Head of the Romanian mission in the country of the candidate.
Bear in mind that the letter of recommendation will be endorsed by the deputy of the Romanian Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship, and Tourism in the candidate’s country of habitat.
